Where this began

Founded in 2017 in Dubai, Performena aimed to connect brands with audiences across digital platforms. By 2023, the landscape had shifted. The brands earning real attention were no longer the ones with the largest media budgets. They were the ones that had learned to think like entertainment properties.

Mediagist was born from that shift.

We brought together filmmakers, producers, and strategists who had spent years working within the entertainment industry. Not studying it, but building within it. The brief was straightforward. Create content that earns attention the way entertainment does.

The first proof came early. A client testimonial, often the most forgettable format in brand marketing, was rebuilt as a cinematic narrative rooted in human aspiration. What followed was not just stronger content. It was evidence that entertainment thinking changes what brand communication can deliver.

That became the founding principle. When a brand is treated as an entertainment property, with the same rigour given to story, character, and emotional stakes, it stops interrupting its audience and becomes something they actively seek out.
